Before the Conference (Extended Abstract)

Authors interested in participating in the conference will be expected to submit an Extended abstract
The Extended abstracts should be prepared using the conference format and submitted to our website, selecting one of the conference topics.

The submitted contributions will be assigned for a Double Blind Peer Review by the reviewers/experts in the field. Your contribution’s review should consider a specific criteria that includes a relevant topic of the conference that should be proposed with clear writing, aims, and objectives and a study clearly presented with a sound literature and methodology of work. All the submitted extended abstract will enter a process for plagiarism check to ensure that the content is original. The paper is then subject to

1. Acceptance (with minor editing changes).
2. Conditional acceptance (with revisions provided to authors).
3. Rejection but encouraged for re-submission with major modifications.
4. Rejection as inappropriate or unworthy of presentation in this certain conference.

After receiving acceptance for presentation, your extended abstract will be included in the conference proceedings book among the research submitted. In any case, to have your contribution published on the conference proceedings, at least one of the authors must complete the registration to the conference.

The conference proceedings has been published on an e-book edited by DADI_PRESS, a publishing brand of the Architecture and Industrial Design Department of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.

After the Conference (Full papers)

Authors of high-quality contributions will be invited to submit a full paper based on their conference contribution on one of the two special issues, based on the topic selected during extended abstract submission:

1. Special issue of an A-Class Academic Journal.
2. A Special Issue entitled “Sustainability in  Architecture, Planning, and Design” will be issued by Sustainability, Open Access Journal by MDPI (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/sustainability). All papers will be peer-reviewed and undergone to an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication

Extra fees could be required for the publication of the full papers.

All the full papers submitted will be reviewed according to the rigorous review policy of the selected journals.

Plagiarism Policy

• BAL2022 has an unyielding policy regarding plagiarism. We believe that copying/taking the ideas and work of other authors without permission and credit is fraudulent.
• The reviewing committee and BAL2022 employees have the authority to reject a paper during its reviewing process, on the basis of the paper being subjected to either minor or major plagiarism.
• Duplicating any content, even if it is one sentence or one table without the consent of its original author, will lead to the paper’s refusal upon the complaint of the plagiarism victim.

By submitting the extended abstract, the author certifies that:

1. the article is an original contribution;
2. is written by the author/s;
3. is not published before;
4. has not been submitted anywhere else for publication prior to acceptance/rejection by the Scientific Committee;
5. contains no unlawful statements;
6. does not infringe the rights/ownership of other subjects;
7. is free of any third-party rights;
8. any necessary written permissions to quote from other sources have been obtained by the author/s.

If the article was prepared jointly with other authors, the author submitting the paper certifies that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this agreement.

The author must always state the credits, as well as the rights of reproduction and distribution, for all the used images.

Make sure you position yourself on a quiet place with access to natural light

Try to find a light for greater contrast, brightness, sharpness and saturation; try avoid shading on the face by using artificial light; put the light source (natural or artificial) behind the camera and not against it;

Avoid windows or places with great movement were used in the background, prioritizing either a neutral background or decorated space or background elements with references to the speech

We recommend that your camera be positioned close to your eye height, with the face centered on the screen, avoiding too high or too low angles

Make sure you are as much as possible close to the microphone, having avoided a noisy location

Unlicensed commercial videos, images or music cannot be used.

COVID 19 compliant

The conference is planned to be held in Blended mode (remote and on-site presence), in order to account for the pandemic developments.

The accesses to the venue, to the conference sessions and to the lunches will be guaranteed in accordance to the regulations and sanitary measures mandated by the Italian government concerning social distancing, sanitisation of rooms and equipment, and personal safety devices.
